Office Reopening Update
OFFICE REOPENING FOR ALL DENTAL SERVICES ON
MONDAY, MAY 4, 2020
Please Read Our Updated COVID-19 Patient Protocol
Dear Parents and Patients,
After weeks of isolation and hibernation, my staff and I welcome the return of all patients and families to our practice. Hopefully, you and your family have maintained your good health and have withstood this pandemic with only minor inconveniences. We look forward to your return and the resumption of all normal dental services. While many things have obviously changed and will require new adaptations, our commitment to your health and safety remains forever constant.
Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. Fortunately, the design of our treatment operatories has always created the separation, barrier walls, and physical spacing between patients so necessary in these times of a most virulent contagion. In addition, for over 30 years we have consistently utilized the rubber dam barrier during restorative procedures, virtually eliminating the risk of formation and transfer of infectious aerosolized saliva droplets into the office environment.
We follow all infection control guidelines and protocols recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Ohio Department of Health, and the Ohio State Dental Board. We closely monitor the activities of these agencies and we will continue to modify and alter our infection control procedures to reflect their most current recommendations.
We are presently reviewing all current infection control protocols for our office and are developing new guidelines and procedures to assure your continued comfort and safety during your upcoming dental visits. Many of these procedures will require new adaptations for both you and your families as well as our staff. We will be communicating these modifications to you in the coming days through both emails and postings on our website. Please be certain that you provide our office with your most current email address and cell number to facilitate this communication.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the additional steps we are taking to protect your health and safety in our practice. To schedule an appointment, please call our office at 614-846-4711.
Thank you for being our patient. Be safe and continue to follow all Ohio Department of Health guidelines. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our “patient family” and friends.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tom and staff

The Greatest Smiles on Earth is Worthington, Ohio’s #1 Choice For Pediatric & Orthodontic Dental Care
We recommend a first comprehensive dental visit including a professional cleaning at 2 to 3 years of age. This gives us the opportunity to establish good dental habits at an early age, and correct any existing problems before they become serious and result in permanent damage.
As a parent, you can play an important role in preparing your child for this visit. It is important to demonstrate positive attitudes and encouraging language when describing the dental visit. Avoid using technical terminology unfamiliar to your child to describe dental procedures. Children’s books and videos can assist you in communication by describing the dental visit utilizing age-appropriate language and visualizations. Be positive! Describe the first visit as an adventure, much like a visit to the zoo.
